After the Credits Episode 113: September Preview

It’s almost VIFF time in Vancouver but until the festival kicks off at the end of the month, we will be parttaking in at least a handful of offerings for September. This time around Dale (Digital Doodles), Colleen and I dig through the stack of releases to find a few not-so-hidden gems. Surprisingly, few titles appeal to all three of us this month.

After the Credits Episode 112: August Preview

Life and roller derby got in the way of a July preview but Dale (Digital Doodles), Colleen and I find found a bit of time to get together this past week to look ahead at the collection of movies that make up the August release schedule. There’s a moment of digression early on but we manage to get through the month with few other distractions and for TV lovers, we spend the last 40 minutes talking good, if not great, TV.

After the Credits Episode 110: April Preview

Though on first glance April is looking a little light on goodness, more than a passing glance revels quite a stash of stuff to get excited about including the eagerly anticipated Cain the the Woods. Apparently I’m not the only one who can’t resist the pull of Whedon. But there’s more than that and Dale (Digital Doodles), Colleen (Mary Ostler Wood Butchery & Other Stuff) and I find a few other titles that peak our interest. Take me to space!

After the Credits Episode 109: March Preview

In a strange turn of events, this month’s preview rivals the Cinecast in length. Coming in just over the two hour mark, this is what happens when Dale (Digital Doodles), Colleen (Mary Ostler Wood Butchery & Other Stuff) and I chat movies opening in March and let ourselves muse on good TV, piracy and reading. We don’t even venture into Oscar talk! Apparently we need to meet more than once a month.

After the Credits Episode 108: Mandatory Top 5

It’s not really mandatory but it doesn’t feel quite right to start the year until you’ve done a top something list. Mine, along with the rest of the Row Three crew’s lists are already floating around but here we get to hear what Dale (Digital Doodles) and Colleen (Mary Ostler Wood Butchery & Other Stuff) loved in 2011.

After the Credits Episode 107: January Preview

Yes, this is about five days late, considering we’re talking as if we’re still in 2011 but alas, here we are in 2012 and our first podcast of the year of the end of the world. Dale (Digital Doodles), Colleen (Mary Ostler Wood Butchery & Other Stuff) and I look ahead to the heaps of movies opening and expanding in January.

After the Credits Episode 106: Whistler Film Festival 2011 Preview

Did someone say Whistler?!?

The festival actually kicks off today with an opening night screening of Jason Reitman’s Young Adult but we, yes, I said we, are way too cool for Diablo Cody. Colleen (Mary Ostler Wood Butchery & Other Stuff) and I have been talking this festival up so much over the last year that we’ve even convinced Dale (Digital Doodles), among a few others, to join us for the fun. The line-up is spectacular (Dangerous Method, Manborg among others), the stars many (Michael Shannon and Jay Baruchel are both being honoured) and the booze will flow. Oh yes, there will be parties and I may actually make it out to one of them this year. Listen in for our rambling take on this year’s festival and stay tuned for a post fest wrap in a few days time! Full festival details by clicking on the banner below. It’s not too late to join the fun!

After the Credits Episode 105: December Preview

And we’re back! It’s been a particularly busy few months but the crew, Dale (Digital Doodles), Colleen (Mary Ostler Wood Butchery & Other Stuff) and I have finally found the time to gather at the new Burnaby studio to record a show. December has much to offer, including a load of Oscar bait, but among the dramatic gems there are also a few mindless bits of entertainment and at least one title that left us scratching our heads. Spielberg… what are you thinking? Listen on for all of the juicy details and stay tuned for another show (it’s true, you can hold your breath if you like but it’s completely unnecessary) in the next few days. Did someone say Whistler?!?
