Thank you for the congratulations and mention on the show. 🙂

Imagining my future daughter (assuming they got the sex right, I keep hearing from friends who mention how the ultrasound got the sex wrong) playing the summer box office game a good 10 to 14 years from now and I can only wonder how thing might have changed and what might stay the same.

As for sound of Interstellar, I wonder how the conversation might have been different if Christopher Nolan had just talked about the sound a week before the movie came out. To give at least some of the audience at least a heads up at what he was doing, so that people wouldn’t be getting upset that the sound is breaking in their theatre. As that’s been the overall perception that I’ve seen online and in person before his statement, not that he was being artist but that there was something wrong the sound mix in their theatre. A sound that you need to “lean in” is one way of putting it, the other is a sound that you need to whisper to your neighbour asking if they caught what was being said.

I think it had to be after so people could come into the film not having their thoughts dominated by that.
