  1. I was playing with this earlier – pretty awesome!

I found eight or ten 3s plugging in people from the silent era, but the only 4 I could find was Florence Lawrence, the original Biograph Girl (i.e., the first actor credited by name). I’m sure you could get higher numbers on more obscure foreign actors, but I couldn’t manage to think of anyone obscure enough.

Bacon number Pedro Almodovar. I can´t find it. May be because Almodovar is a director and he is not an actor?

  3. Ha, Rin Tin Tin is a 3. :)

  4. David Brook says:

The best I could do was 3 for Tommy Cooper – a famous British comedian from back in the day that did mostly TV!

This might be the most important thing Google has ever done.

I couldn’t get above a 3 for anybody and I went pretty obscure. I also refuse to cheat (I know people are probably tweeting about it) until I get a 6 or 7 myself.

    • I found another 4 (won’t spoil who, heh) and a handful more 3s. Haven’t found anyone higher than that, though i found a couple it chokes on – the kid from Beasts of the Southern Wild, for example. And Trigger (even though it had Rin Tin Tin). But Roy Rogers was a 3, so I assume Trigger is as well.

  6. David Brook says:

Ha ha ha – even Matti Pellonpää (a Finnish Kaurismaki regular) came up as 3!

    This is addictive.

It’s tricky though because it’s easy to go really obscure with very minor actors, but they don’t register so it doesn’t work!

  7. David Brook says:

    I found a 4! OK I can go to bed now :)

  8. Joe Pierce says:

Even Manuela Velasco was a 3, Bacon gets around!

  9. Jason says:

Found a 4. Had to resort to a Swedish child actor.
