A couple/three weeks ago, we got word that Richard Linklater had begun working on the third part of his Julie Delpy, Ethan Hawke project entitled Before Midnight.

Rumor at the time, straight from the horse’s mouth (Delpy) was that we were at least a year away before any sort of shooting would begin. To say nothing of a release date. Well, the pleasant surprise news of the day is that Linklater has actually finished principal photography in Greece.

So this means that while we probably won’t see any footage any time soon, if you’re in the Toronto area and own a major distribution company, you can probably pick up the film later this week and release it for us next year.

With the ending of Before Sunset sort of leaving us hanging, I muchly anticipate the release of the final(?) entry in this franchise. As of now, one of my top five most anticipated releases of 2013.
