Got a new (or old) favorite title that would you’d probably find shelved in this section of the book store? Then this is where you talk about it.

If you feel the need to have an in-depth discussion about the book with someone, that’s fine. But remember not all of us have turned every page yet or we might want to pick it up later. So try to just be courteous and mark your statement as a SPOILER so we don’t accidentally glimpse plot points in our recent comment section. Thanks!

  1. Just finished “THE EERIE SILENCE” by Paul Davies about the possibility of ET. Who knew there was a sub-committee of SETI – sort of a task group made up of politicians, scientists, authors, professors, etc. – assigned with being prepared for the event of actually making contact with ET. The author of the book is the chair of this committee.

The book is ultimately pretty depressing if you’re hoping to one day see contact with an alien civilization. The chances are almost nil actually. It’s a pretty fascinating read.
