“Don’t cry. Don’t ever do it.” So says Harry Dean Stanton in the 80s “classic,” Red Dawn. Well, some of us in our thirties may be doing just the opposite after seeing the footage below.
Entertainment Tonight had a quick “first look” at the remake of Red Dawn directed by Dan Bradley: a former stuntman who’s never directed a film previously. To his credit however, it looks like he’s done a lot of “apprenticing” and that counts for a lot these days.
If you’re unfamiliar with the story, it’s every 10 year-old kid’s dream. A foreign military faction invades a small town and a group of kids head for the hills and wage their own resistance war against the invaders.
The cast includes a whole slew of potential up-and-comers: Chris Hemsworth, Adrianne Palicki, Josh Hutcherson, Josh Peck, Isabel Lucas, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and holy shit, Tom Cruise’s adopted son, Connor.
Whaddya think? In anyone at all interested in this remake? Patrick Swayze is probably rolling in his grave. WOLVERINES!!!!!!!!

It’ll be ridiculous, of course.
This sucker was originally supposed to be released in November of 2010, but was shelved apparently due to MGM’s financial troubles. That’s a long shelving.
Also, this is all that Connor Cruise has done. I wonder why he hasn’t acted since.
FUCKING Terrible, and by that I mean Entertainment Tonite Robot-girl voice.
