This just popped up in TIFF Vanguard, with odd capitalization in the title intended to be kind of representing the pair of council housing, Manor Towers, at the center of its drama (and where the film was shot on location.) The British film directed by Ben Drew looks to sit somewhere between Crash and The Wire, with a little José Padilha thrown in for good measure. It looks very stylish and very raw and the trailer is below.
Ill Manors is a multi-character story, set over the course of seven days in Forest Gate, London, a scene where everyone is fighting for respect, focusing on eight core characters, and their circles of violence, as they struggle to survive on the streets. Each story weaves into one another, painting an ultra-realistic gritty picture of the world which is on the brink of self-destruction. Each story is also be represented by a different rap song.

This came out last month in the UK – I’ve heard it’s supposed to be decent but nothing mind-blowing.
The tilt shifting in the trailer is certainly interesting but it didn’t really speak to me
