• Friday One Sheet: Ottoman Kill Bill and other Fine Posters

With the whole internet about to be deluged with Batman stuff, I am resisting posting the creepy character portrait of Bane, and instead going with these wonderful posters from 22 year-old artist Murat Palta and his ‘Ottoman/Oriental miniature’ style. Above of course is Kill Bill and what I like about it is that the Bride is both towering over her vanquished opponents, but also has the illusion of lying down. Also, the Crazy 88s all were wearing Fez hats before being struck down. Furthermore, the slight artificial aging of the image and a hint of matting makes something I’d love to hang on my wall. (And it looks great against the Row-Three background, doesn’t it?)

Click the image above for a larger version, and also, tucked under the seat are other examples of Palta’s work (Including Pulp Fiction, The Shining and The Original Star Wars Trilogy.)

    and lots more.
