Kings and Queen is pretty good, certainly the only Desplechin i’d happily watch again.

Which one of the Matt’s sounds like Jon Favreau?

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo could be the next Silence of the Lambs.

Matt Brown, why do you hate Tom Cruise? Do you hate him as a person, as an actor, or both? I like Tom Cruise (except for his cult bullshit). For a blockbuster actor, he is pretty good. Tom Cruise>>>Will Smith>>> Sam Worthington and his clones.

There is a positive buzz for Anonymous. Weird.

I do not get the Tom Cruise hate. He might be weird in real life, but he has not done anything horrible. Plus he is good (not great) actor.

Just listening back and Favreau = Price lol

Kings and Queen – excellent pick! Personally, I love Desplechin – A Christmas Tale is wonderful, and while it isn’t as well-loved as some of his others, I really enjoyed My Sex Life, or How I Got Into an Argument…, which you can watch on MUBI.

Hmmm, I can’t quite say anything bad about Desplechin, but both “Kings And Queens” and “A Christmas Tale” left me cold. Not that either are supposed to be warm and inviting, but I couldn’t quite find my way into either one of them. Mathieu Almaric is a terrific actor, but I just wanted to punch him the face in both those films (which I suppose may have been what the director wanted – doesn’t mean I enjoyed it much).
