If you are looking for an inspired alternative to the star-studded blockbuster Cowboys & Aliens this summer, Attack the Block just may be it. Written and directed by Joe Cornish, who is a good friend Simon Pegg and Nick Forst (the latter is one of the stars of this film), the movie about a deadbeat London gang of teenagers probably shouldn’t work, but after watching the trailer, I’m salivating to check this sucker out.
What do you think? Am I getting hyped up for no reason or could this be the real deal?

I have seen it already in London, it was really awesome!!! its very much Shaun of the dead but with kids.
I’ve seen it and posted a capsule here a couple of weeks ago. The OTT accents and ‘yoof’ slang can get a bit cumbersome, it’s very basically plotted and it’s not all that scary or funny, but it’s incredibly well paced and just a really fun time at the movies.
