The goal of the screen shot quiz it not to just guess what the movie is that the screen shot is from but to encourage discussion on the film. Feel free to shout out in the comments what the movie is and then provide an opinion or some thoughts on the movie. Oh and the first person who gets the movie right wins our respect.

Pretty lights! Pretty lights! Pretty lights! (Wait, what’s going on with the plot?) Pretty lights!
I actually wanted to enjoy TRON: LEGACY. Maybe it’ll age into some sort of cult classic.
I fell asleep during this movie in the theater and didn’t regret it.
I’ll stand by the fact that this is a pretty picture and that is why I chose it. The movie kept the family entertained but yeah it really did feel a bit hollow and needed something more.
Bored to tears with this movie. It had zero heart and made little sense. Personally, I don’t even think it looked that great. “Hollow” is the perfect word for it John. It’s not terrible, it’s just hollow (really hollow). And that’s worse than being flat out bad.
I enjoyed it (saw it twice, even, but with different people). It was very pretty, and even though it did a crap job of following through on its themes, it brought up some interesting thoughts (just didn’t have much to say about them once they were out there). And the score is awesome.
Actually Jandy’s right – I’d sorta forgotten about the sound design. The movie did sound great, and I suppose it doesn’t hurt to use that awesome Daft Punk score as an engine to drive it.
Actually, someone sitting near me in the IMAX theatre said “Really, I’m just here to listen to daft Punk piped through this awesome sound system”.
I can’t wait for the day when people realize that IMAX actually has terrible sound.
Loud =/= Good
Admittedly it’s light (very light) on plot but I really liked TRON LEGACY.
@ Matt… The IMAX theatre that I go to doesn’t just play it loud – it has a really sweet separation and clarity to it as well. Admittedly, that’s not a feature exclusive to IMAX theatres.
TRON Legacy plays so much better on blu-ray, sans 3d. It feels crisper, cultier, and the goofy stuff just works for me better in that format. And to compliment the Avatar discussion on the FJ podcast this week, yes, the fact that it flopped makes me just a tad more attached to it then I may have otherwise been.
Remember Goon, GAMBLE says that Tron was not a flop. It was only a Flop by not being a Hit. Nobody lost money on this movie.
This film…like visually….entertaining….but emotionally… like experiencing static on television for too long. Best save, an awesome music bed that woke you up from time to time and made you remember you’d bought popcorn.
