Shelagh is correct. I’m never sure about how hard or easy I am making these when I haven’t seen the movie. This is one of those that I’ve had on my list to watch forever.
That clearly must be from the Criterion disc, because I can tell you DVD I saw In The Realm of the Senses didn’t look so crisp and colour rich!
I only saw this movie for the first time a few months ago. I’ll admit I was pretty disappointed with it. Kinda an excuse for soft core porn.
That is too bad. I had heard Kurt mention it once or twice so it has been on my radar. I’ll probably still check it out but won’t be in an more of a rush than I already wasn’t in.
I liked the film, it is of ritual, and finally, well, the final scene in this film is pretty legendary. But Iike the film for the journey there.
