The goal of the screen shot quiz it not to just guess what the movie is that the screen shot is from but to encourage discussion on the film. Ooh. The original King Kong?
thought this might be an easy one. It was also the first black and white film that I introduced Gavin to.
Heh. You gotta throw out an easy one once in a while so I can get some.
I always enjoyed King Kong, but seeing it last year on a big screen was pretty special. Somehow the imagination of it outweighs the obviousness of the effects, even without factoring in how groundbreaking they were at the time. I miss practical effects.
King Kong was one of my childhood favourites (I even had a King Kong birthday cake for my 3rd or 4th birthday!). I still absolutely adore it, yet I don’t own it on DVD which is criminal. The UK got totally stiffed with a couple of shoddy releases and I don’t have a decent multi-region player for the US version.
Fingers crossed for an awesome Blu-Ray.
