A little lower on energy than normal (Oscar DRAINAGE! DRAINAGE!!) and missing one third of our crew, we keep the show a bit on the simpler this side. A recap of Sunday night’s Oscar ceremony, with all of its Anne Hathaway-to-go glory and James Frankly-not-very-interesting, depending on your viewpoint. While neither of us could find Nic Cage’s Drive Angry within convenient travel distance for 2D presentation, Kurt did manage to get out and see a vintage Technicolor classic on the big screen. Grab a hot cup of tea, ease on the earbuds and prepare to be inundated into a world of nuns burbling with desire, early twentieth-century fashion designers, strange acts of social experimentation gone awry – both in the Academic World or on the World Wide Web. DVD picks, tangents on Joe Wright, Beethoven, Dutch Westerns and the proverbial much more!
As always, please join the conversation by leaving your own thoughts in the comment section below and again, thanks for listening!
