The highly popular Screenshots of Lust, Part 1, can be viewed here. This latest batch continues the effort to capture moments of lust in cinema without resorting to the outright pornographic. It is admittedly Romy Schneider heavy – what can I say, she was perfectly cast as the object of desire and obsession in Clouzot’s L’Enfer. As always I would like a full report of the images that I missed. Enjoy.

[in order of appearance: Romy Schneider in Choses de la vie; Jeanne Tripplehorn in Basic Instinct; Olga Kurylenko in Hitman; Nicole Kidman in Eyes Wide Shut; Charlotte Gainsbourg and Wilhelm Dafoe in Antichrist; Romy Schneider in Clouzot's Inferno; Jessica Alba in Killer Inside Me; Barbara Stanwyck in Ball of Fire; Michelle Williams in Deception; Kelly Preston and Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire; Amanda Seyfried in Chloe; Paz de la Huerta in Limits of Control; Valerie Chow in Chungking Express; Ziyi Zhang 2046; Mena Suvari in American Beauty; Natassja Kinski in Paris,Texas; Romy Schneider in Clouzot's L'Enfer; Green Girl in Star Trek]

Rot, have you seen Combat Dans L’Isle yet? Zeitgeist has it out on DVD and it is a great showcase for Ms. Schneider who is the defacto star of the show, even if the plot is driven by the various men…
Furthermore, Paz de la Huerta is excellent if a lot more trashy in ENTER THE VOID.
haven’t seen, but will look into it. Still waiting for L’Enfer to come out on dvd… Amazon strangely has a book on Romy in L’Enfer

I thought L’Enfer came out in the US a few weeks ago on DVD.
Amazon.com has a UK import region 2, but otherwise I don’t see anything… they are also selling a poster which is pretty sweet

Yay for getting Nicole Kidman and Barbara Stanwyck in there. Babs is obviously wonderful in everything, but Nicole gets a bad rap sometimes – in the right role, she’s fantastic.
Romy Schneider in Le combat dans l’ile:
meant to put a pic from her in To Die For but forgot. Stanwyck was Bob’s suggestion .
Nice. Glad to see the two Wong Kar Wai entries. Him and Christopher Doyle sure can get the best out of the female form.
