And it is nothing to write home about.
Though a few movie folks are scratching their heads as to why a social media site is running the “exclusive” trailer for The Social Network, it makes a whole lot of sense. Regardless of how you cut this, with David Fincher, Aaron Sorkin and a great looking cast, it’s still a movie that appeals more to geeks than anyone else. It’s doubtful that anyone outside of geekdom, the stock exchange or privacy groups even knows who Mark Zuckerberg is.
So it’s here. It’s mostly a voice over and it’s OK at best. I expect the actual trailer will be a little more interesting. Or so I hope.
Teaser is tucked under the seat.

That teaser made me think the movie was a comedy at first. They’re making it seem like the development of the atom bomb.
Zuckerberg has been in Wired quite a few times so I think he probably has at least some mainstream recognition.
A pretty underwhelming trailer. It’s basically the poster, with some snippets of voiceover.
The more I know about this, the more “WTF” I am about it.
Trevor Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is scoring the film with Atticus Ross. Reznor states the movie is dark.
