Down beat pop song, ethereal visuals, decadent corridors and damaged souls adrift, yes, it is the new film from Sofia Coppola! Starring Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning, Somewhere may not feature the A-List cast the directors other films, the cast simply melds into the film. I have yet to not love a film from Ms. Coppola and I am completely sold on this one.
Somewhere is an intimate story set in contemporary Los Angeles; Johnny Marco is a bad-boy actor stumbling through a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood. With an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter, Johnny is forced to look at the questions we must all confront.

I was just about to post this trailer. God, Phoenix is such an amazing band. Their music does so much for the opening 30 seconds of this trailer. I also am sold.
Hell yeah! I pretty much adore every Sofia Coppola film, so I’ve been really excited to start seeing stuff about this one. I’m not totally sure I’d be sold purely on the trailer, but the trailer + Coppola? I trust her. I was afraid she’d made a massive miscalculation on Marie Antoinette based on the trailer, but I was totally wrong and now I trust her.
seems like an ennui trilogy with Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette.
