• Shorts Program: When it Will Be Silent (כשיהיה דומם)

Welcome to just a little bit more P.A. cinema. Can never really have enough can we? This student film produced for a Sophomore project by Dan Sachar at Sapir Academic College, Israel, was shot in the demilitarized zone between Israel and Jordan.

This hauntingly desolate locale accompanied by some nice close-ups that slowly zoom out in a nicely edited fashion that unravels more and more of the simple plot; which gives the short almost a mystery feel to it that keeps the viewer begging the question of what exactly is going on here? Who are these people and why are they making the decisions that they are? When it Will Be Silent sort of leaves those questions up in the air and let’s the viewers come up with their own thoughts and allows for some post screening pondering.

A couple of relevant links are here and you check out the full, seven minute short below. It really is quite nice looking.

  1. Emma Jeanmarie says:

Great visuals dealing with line and design elements, particularly in the opening transitions and body positioning.
