Living up to the one-sheets promise to be an epic of epic epicness, comes the trailer for Edgar Wright’s (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) third film. Comic panel framing, overlayed “Ka-Pows,” flaming swords and bittersweet puppy-love all wrapped up with a solid cast and great visual design. Toronto locals will get a serious kick out of the city playing itself quite prominently in Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. Bring it.
Apple.com has it in all shapes and size including glorious HD.

Like the manga and anime influences.
“Next time we don’t date the girl with eleven evil ex-boyfriends.”
“Seven.”
“Oh, well that’s not that bad.”
I hope all the overlaid sound-effect words are in the actual movie, too.
Awesome kick-assery! I’m with Jandy on the text and effects
This looks awesome. I didn’t realize that we have to wait until August for this to come out though. It seems like it should be an early summer release type of film to me.
Very nice.
I was so convinced this trailer would premiere in front of Kick-Ass. I’m glad it didn’t take that long for us to see it, but it only makes August seem all that much further away…
I’m one of those sad individuals who knew nothing about Scott Pilgrim until he heard about Cera doing this film with Wright. And now I’m probably as psyched as the rest of you.
Don’t understand the August release date either. S’OK though. Much fun will be had.
I do not thing is going to do extremely well in the box office. It looks to appeal to very niche audience…even more narrower than Kick-ass. In addition, there is a strong Michael Cera backlash. If anything, destine to become a cult classic.
Both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were August releases, I guess the distributor is doing the ‘whatever works’ philosophy of releasing this….they do the same with many Jackie Chan flicks, The Spider Man movies, Will Smith Sci-fi flicks, etc. etc.
