So I’m a couple of days late on this one, but still continuing on with a weekly look back at what was going on around the theaters and in the third row a year ago this week.
Not every week is going to offer up something spectacular (or anything at all possibly), but it is what it is. Take a look.

Two Lovers is a movie that in hindsight is starting to get quite a lot of critical love. A little too late I suppose, but I remember being pleasantly surprised by the film; even though I wasn’t sure completely why and considering I’m not a big fan of either of the leads. Eventually I’ll get around to revisiting it.
I know Marina was Trumpeting TWO LOVERS right out of the gate, but I agree, been seeing a lot of mentions on this one..
Is it weird that i’m already nostalgic about last year? O.o
I was a little surprised to see the attention TWO LOVERS received when it came to year end lists. It was a little unexpected considering how no one talked about it when it initially came out (or even out on DVD) but I’m happy to see Gray is picking up a little attention.
Overshawdow from the Joaquin Phoenix shenanigans? That seems to have blown over.
