Andrew Bouvé cannily deconstructs their styles and reveals, in less than a minute apiece, which of them are true auteurs and which are merely poseurs. The winners are Godard and Herzog...and Bouvé. It made me wonder how to define the characteristics of Herzog's style, and i'm not sure i can pin it down. Besides his narration in documentary features as used in the clip, and perhaps his physical, or anolog, approach to filmmaking.
