• The Berry Worst in Film (The Razzie Noms)

With this morning’s announcement of the best on display in theaters nation wide over the past 12 months, you know that the worst ones are just sitting there waiting to be pounced upon. The dishonorable mentions will be given out by The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation on the night of Saturday, March 6; the evening before Hollywood’s biggest night. Sorry we didn’t get to this yesterday, but while we were too busy getting excited about fawning all over the achievements of the year, we forgot that some of the more cynical of you may be far more interested in bashing on some of the more deserving of shit-slinging rather than champagne opening. 1. Andrew James says:

Proud to say I only saw two of these: Bride Wars and Transformers 2.

  2. I saw 4: Transformers 2, GI Joe, Jennifer`s Body (lame entry BTW) and New Moon.

  3. Kurt Halfyard says:

I beat you both. I’ve not seen anything on this list.

However, on the worst of the decade list, I’ve seen Freddie Got Fingered (and as Movie Club Podcast listeners know, it is actually good) as well as BattleField Earth (ei! awfulness!)

Where was Tobey Maguire on this list for Brothers? or Verne Troyer in Imaginarium?

  4. David Brook says:

    I’ve only seen Transformers 2.

I have actually heard a few people stand up for GI Joe, saying it does what it does very well, so long as you accept it as a dumb action movie for kids. But I’ve not seen it so I can’t comment. Has anyone who has seen it got any thoughts?

  5. Goon says:

Kurt always spells Freddy Got Fingered wrong :)

anyways the razzies blow, they’re about as sharp and pointed as an “Everybody Hates Raymond” Mad magazine article

  6. Jandy Stone says:

I tied Kurt for not having seen any of them! Of this year, anyway. Of the decade, I saw Daredevil (blame Jennifer Garner and Alias), Pearl Harbor (uh…blame being a history minor?), Swordfish (hey, I actually liked the opening shot), and Die Another Day (Bond. James Bond).

  7. Bob Turnbull says:

Out of all of them, I’ve only seen Jennifer’s Body (disappointing, but not that bad) and Repo: The Genetic Opera (terrible, just terrible).

Kinda leaning with Goon here. The Razzies are almost as predictable as The Oscars.
