    The roll to total world domination continues, as Avatar takes some Golden Globes, some more records, and the increasing ire of some among the filmgoing community. We continue to handicap the world’s first 2 billion dollar hit, and why it isn’t the world’s first 2 billion dollar hit.

    I dig your Box office logic. Things are so complicated, beyond simple inflation. And Avatar is such an anomaly considering that even 5 weeks in it is still packing in cinemas. Looks like Titanics days at the top of the World Wide Box Office are numbered (as in probably less than 3-4 days left)

    But the real news (for me) is the ENTER THE VOID possible Criterion DVD. I WANT. NOW.

    (Someone has to capitalize on ENTER THE VOID as a kick-ass midnight movie, something you go into after some substance enhanced state of mind, although this film hardly needs substance enhancement, itself being a sensory drug.

    The longest thread on Row Three was about Crash, I think its perfectly fine.

    I would admit that Hurt Locker doesn’t have a whole lot to say, but neither does Avatar, they are both aiming to please.
