Have I mentioned how much I also love “In A Lonely Place”? What? EVERY time it comes up I mention it? Oh, well, I guess I should keep my record intact…

I just stumbled across “The Bandwagon” this morning. Just flipping through the stations and there was Fred and Cyd. At least, I think Fred was in the frame – couldn’t take my eyes off Cyd. And that ballet number at the end is truly great. Michael Jackson stole, uh, I mean, paid homage to it in his Smooth Criminal video.

I really liked “Royal Wedding”. The story is silly, but Jane Powell is almost radiant in it. And she brings so much energy and joie de vivre to the role. Particularly in “How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Loved You When You Know I’ve Been A Liar All My Life”.

You’re very welcome! Two of my all-time favorite movies. IN A LONELY PLACE in particular is one that I think I’ve by now recommended multiple times to everyone I know. I just think it’s brilliant.

If you didn’t catch Minnie and Moskowitz it comes on again this week on Encore not sure of the time though. If im not correct i think The Assassination of Richard Nixon and A Love Song For Bobby Long come on IFC Monday or Tuesday afternoon.
