MTV steals Jackson’s Final Curtain Call

I was wondering how many years would have to pass before MTV would eventually buy the King of Pop’s fairwell footage, This Is It, and pimp it out on their network? This week the Sony-owned film was bought by the music-television empire and will now be available to the following channels; VH1, VH1 Classic, Palladia, as well as Viacom’s BET and Centric for a¬†six year window

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my many years of devouring music television from each and all of the channels listed above, the rotation of new material is so terribly assembled I’ll be sure to avoid the channel after the debut airing of Jackson’s concert. The twice-a-day screening of Madonna’s recent¬†Confessions tour on VH1 was a numbing couple of weeks… let’s not even start with the terror of re-runs when their awards season comes around!
