I think Russell would have been pretty awesome as han solo. But then we would not likely have The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China and a plethora of post 1975 Russell films that I love.
To be perfectly frank, I watch Big Trouble in Little China, way more often and find it a more fun an interesting film than Star Wars anyway.
