• Phasma Ex Machina – Opening Title Sequence

We certainly love to admire and talk about opening credit sequences here at RowThree. We like them so much that we often have our own little, informal, top three movie openers list near the end of the year.

So in light of that, we promised to keep you up to date with our current local, indie favorite, Phasma Ex Machina (trailer) as well. So in keeping with our promise; combined with our interest in opening title sequences, it looks like the guys over at the official site have allowed us a sneak peek to their opener.

Now having seen a rough cut of the film myself, all I can say is that you’re in for quite the treat once this thing is released. And you can tell by the opener. It’s creepy, artful and intriguing with a great musical queue and awesome visuals. We don’t usually get something this cool in terms of opening credits from a low budget indie, but then again, we are talking about the awesomeness of Minneapolis here.

So for your convenience, I’ve pasted the video under the seats, but be sure to drop by the official site which includes a lot more about the film including a production blog and some behind the scenes video stuff and a lot more.

  1. Kurt says:

Someone has been watching their HBO show’s. That plays like a little bit of Trueblood, a bit of Deadwood, The Wire and a bit of Carnivale. I like it.

And just to add a few more to the mark, there’s also a bit of Millennium in there. I’m with Kurt, looks great. I’m really curious about the film!
