Just checked it out and agree, the new ending is much more effective in maximizing the scare factor. The original ending is slow burn wand really loses its punch as it keeps going. Don't believe the haters. PA is a great film. Scary as hell with the biggest jump scare in history. I punched the person that was sitting next to me at the end(my son). That's how effective it was. I couldnt sleep after this. Maybe I am just a gullible person. Go see it and don't watch the trailer beforehand. It will ruin it for you. Also, watch the alternate ending on youtube. It is lame.
