No film festival is complete without the inclusion of documentaries. One of the more fascinating documentaries to screen at this year’s Flyway Film Festival was Milking the Rhino. In two of the oldest cattle cultures on earth, some are beginning to see that wildlife conservation can rival the benefits of livestock. Not all community members embrace change however. Shot in some of the world’s most magnificant locales, Milking the Rhino offers complex, intimate portraits of rural Africans in deep cultural change. Matt and I sat down with the associate producer of the film, Xan Aranda, to get a little more of a glimpse into this project. Take a listen below…
