Haters will just have to cool their jets a little longer because it looks like more Nic Cage is on the way; all I can say is thank you Mr. Cage… keep ‘em coming.
This new trailer for Season of the Witch doesn’t give us much and it certainly doesn’t give us enough of His Cageness, there’s lots of good make-up effects, aural jump scares and general medieval madness with a tone that looks like good Raimi-esque, popcorn fun that it’s got me excited enough. Now “cut off the heads!” may not be as winning dialogue as “shoot him again because his soul is still dancing,” I think we can all get on board here right? I mean really, how bad can it be? It’s the same director who brought you classics like Gone in 60 Seconds (2000) and Swordfish.

Don’t be dissing Swordfish too much. It might be bad but it’s cheesy entertainment goodness in my books (though the hacking bits are god awful).
As for this, I’ve given up on Cage being a “good” actor again so I’ll take his crazy eyes and cheesy lines. Bring it on.
I just don’t get it. The guy can act! Why does he do sooooo, sooooooo, soooooo many of these terrible movies–and why is he Bad in them!? Son of the Witch, get it? Because “Witch” kinda sounds like “Bitch.” I’m sorry, Andrew, but I just don’t think I can learn to love the cheese. …Well, except for in Wicker Man – it’s almost impossible not to smile watching that trainwreck.
