No, not more intense video footage of CGI puppets running through an apocalyptic world of mayhem and carnage. No. This is something much much better… Penelope Cruz. While at first I thought this was a series of clips from the film showing the actors backstage of the set they are performing in the movie, I realize now that it is actual behind-the-scenes footage from the film and showcases all of the spectacular players involved; from Nicole Kidman to Dench to Cotillard and of course the great Daniel Day-Lewis.
Now I’m not one to get too excited about a musical, but between this footage and the extraordinary trailer, this thing has just got too much star power and frankly so much gusto (and Penelope Cruz) that how can one look away? And I have to admit that while I think Rob Marshall’s Chicago is more than just a little over rated, I did like it well enough to watch it at least twice, so I have high hopes for Nine.
You can see the behind the scenes footage underneath the seats…

Musicals aren’t typically my cup of tea but I can’t help but get excited at the prospect of seeing this movie which, btw, looks awesome. It could be a total bomb but from everything I’ve seen, that’s doubtful.
I highly approve of Daniel Day-Lewis filling Mastroianni’s ‘Guido’
However, Fergie as the plump, smothering gypsy ‘Saraghina’ who dances for the boys on the beach. Hell no. I dry-heave just thinking about her in this flick. I wish Divine was still alive, she’d be sure to make a charming candidate!
Marshall really has some of the top beauties of today. I remember the first time I watched the Fellini masterpiece, the women were like a new breed of beauty.

Saraghina is a different story
