@Agent Orange - I read your review after seeing it and had to look up Stan Brakhage and you're bang on. And again you're right on the singular vision and I'm all the way behind this one. The entire thing just clicked for me though I didn't quite get what Mary-Ann was up to in the opening scene until after I talked with Leeny. Creepy creepy creepy.

Rot - no release date yet but when I asked Norton about it after the Q&A he mentioned there are a few more festivals in the works before they start talking release. Frankly, I doubt we'll get a release anytime soon though my fingers are crossed that someone with money sees the vision and gives the film a good release. I could see a brilliant Criterion release of this. It would convince me to buy Blu-Ray in a heart beat.

Oh I am interested in seeing this from the trailer. Love the Great Depression, and get a kind of Malick/Reygadas feel from the visuals. when is it coming out?

I also really dug this film. Both the themes and the look reminded me of Stan Brakhage and I said so as much in my own review:

Not spamming, just sharing :)

Notice a commenter told me I was "on crack" for liking it, but I think that's just because it's such a singular vision. With art films like this, people are either going to get behind them or not.

I loved every second of it. It was like a magical journey through some twisted realistic dream. I hope it comes back at some point - I'd love to see it on the big screen again. Either way, I will own this. For me, it's just too good to pass up.

It was OK. I just did not see the same things you did in the film. I am still not sure we saw the same film even though you were sitting next to me.
