Things that excite me about Jacob Tierney’s The Trotsky:
1) It’s Canadian;
2) It stars Jay Baruchel, Colm Feore, Emily Hampshire and Jessica Paré;
3) Reviews from TIFF, where the film premiered, have been very positive;
4) The trailer suggests a whole lot of fun.
The story of Leon (Baruchel), a guy who tries to unionize his father’s factory after working there less than 24 hours, the trailer suggests that there’s a whole lot to love here including Baruchel finally getting to put his comedic talents to work. No word yet on distribution but we’ll keep you posted.
