I'd seen it early in the day at a press screening and enjoyed it, but not quite as much as I'd hoped (even then the buzz was strong with this one). I'm pretty sure the screening that put it over the top was a midnight one. Clearly a film that benefits from that sort of late night weekend screening, preferably with a crowd. So choose your viewing time accordingly. ;-) Definitely way better than some of the other attempts in the last few years, toughest thing with these modern versions is it's nearly impossible to top the originals. Oh - and keep your eyes out for random boom mikes and the actor's reactions... Hmmm – link to Kurt’s thoughts doesn’t seem to quite work. :-(
