Avatar Footage? Could IT BE?

If you’re at all looking forward to James Cameron’s Avatar but weren’t privy to the 15 minutes of footage screened at SDCC, you’re likely pining to see something from the production before the official previews roll out on August 21st. Surprisingly, no bootlegs, that I could find at least, have arrived online but I think I’ve just discovered a little nugget of a clip. Just a tiny one.

Cruising YouTube I stumbled on the video below care of a user by the name of Pandorapedia. The clip is high quality, which doesn’t say much considering the level of artistry that some of these video producers have, but the fact that this particular user is being followed by both the Avatar and Fox Movies official channels gives it a little more credence. I assume if it’s still up six hours after it was posted it may well be legitimate.

It’s not much, but it’s something. Check it out.

It’s also available in HD.

  1. I dont know. It seems too lame to be real. Personally believing its a fake until proven wrong.

  2. Looks like an absolutely ridiculous way to advertise the next ‘Game-Changing’ blockbuster. Looks more like a teaser for BARAKA or PLANET EARTH.

  3. (As in, put me in the same part of the room as Goon in that this is pretty fan made and not much else…)

  4. Yeah, fan made. I”m beginning to think that there will not be a trailer for this film until after Avatar Day on Aug. 21st.

At Comic-Con they learned that nothing they made can live up to the hype, so all they might have to advertise is the hype.
