I was just in Dartmouth Nova Scotia a couple of days ago drinking rye whiskey on Portland St. and in the back of my mind, I half-expected the Hobo With A Shotgun to come waltzing by. Jason Eisener’s grindhouse trailer earned him some national exposure when it was attached to the prints of Grindhouse during its Canadian release. And building on the insane energy and particularly un-PC vibe of Hobo, shortly afterwards followed this short film, Treevenge, about Christmas Trees taking out their aggression on the festive residents of the maritimes (to the cozy score of Cannibal Holocaust). Twitch finally got the go ahead (and not without a lot of bugging the guys from myself since seeing this over a year ago at Fantasia) to host the short which is embedded under the seat.
