Oh please be at TIFF, oh please be at TIFF, oh please be at TIFF! I know I say this all the time, but Broken Embraces (Los Abrazos Rotos), the new Pedro Almodóvar/Penelope Cruz collaboration, has got to be in my top one of most anticipated movies of the year. Yes, even more so than Spike Jonze’ new flick (wtwta) or Hillcoat’s The Road.
I have no idea what the movie is actually about, I’m far too mesmerized by the audio and visuals to notice what is actually happening or being said. In a previous post Marina put up, it does talk about killer plastic surgeons and 50′s noir.

Nice. I love how Cruz can look menacing in one moment and innocent the next. Looks fabulous (though there’s no comedy in the trailer).
if it does come I would suspect it would be a Gala, in which case you are paying mid thirties for a ticket.
