• Trailer: World’s Greatest Dad

You know, I don’t think we appreciate Robin Williams enough around here. I’m too hungover to articulate anything more right now, so just watch the red band trailer below for World’s Greatest Dad, a dark comedy directed by strange-voiced actor and comedian Bobcat Goldthwait. This looks rad.

  1. Understated Robin Williams is always good, sometimes great. When he’s allowed to be manic, things can derail.

  2. Kurt says:

Williams is almost universally better when restrained. Even in pictures like Final Cut and the Insomnia remake, he is fabulous…

  3. Steven says:

Agreed. He’s just a little too much when he’s allowed to go nuts.

    This movie looks great though.

Wow, did anybody watch this? I haven’t heard a peep about this and it has to be one of my favorites of the year. This is the Robin Williams that we need more of, but get so little.

So many layers, so much irony, and as it is spiraling to the obvious inevitable, I was still left floored. Fantastic writing by Bobcat Goldthwait. Who would have thought he had this in him?

Oh, and if you haven’t read any reviews or interviews where they talk about this yet, don’t. Just my opinion.
