If you were living in Canada when Grindhouse played to empty theatres, and had managed to make it out to a screening, you would have seen one of the greatest trailers for a movie that you will never see. Say what you will but “Hobo With a Shotgun” was the perfect incarnation of grindhouse love (as were some of the other trailers but this one holds a special place in my heart) but news that a full length feature was coming never materialized (I haven’t given up hope!) but now there are firm news to go with an earlier story that one of the other trailers, Machete, is being adapted for a full length feature and it’s coming; sooner than you might expect too.

Danny Trejo talked to the gents at Gordon and the Whale and confirmed that Robert Rodriguez’s film would start shooting, with Trejo in the lead of course, in five weeks time. That means we may actually get to see this baby early next year (if not sooner)!

Yes, excitement and all but the real question is: when the hell do we get to see that Hobo movie?
