  1. Mike Mendez says:

man, that trailer looks sweet. can’t wait for this one.

  2. swarez says:

*******THEORETICAL SPOILER, But most likely very TRUE***********************************************************************************************While this looks really good I’m thinking Leo is patient 67.

  3. kurt says:

I”ve not read the Dennis Lehane novel this is based on, but I do believe you have seen one too many ‘twist’ movies and are probably spot on Swarez.

The film look great and I hope it doesn’t rely on that well-worn crutch, but the trailer strongly indicates that, does it not?

  4. Shelagh says:

I’ve never been completely sold on DiCaprio as an actor; he’s good, but not great. This trailer, however, is chillingly magnificent, and I will definitely see the movie.

  5. Jonathan B. says:

*******THEORETICAL SPOILER, But most likely very TRUE****************************************************************** Was that supposed to be a twist? I thought it was obvious from the trailer that Leo is supposed to be patient 67. This looks very interesting though. DiCaprio is the bomb diggity.

  6. I wish I had not read those comments about the 67th patient. Spoilers but you guys are probably right.

Looks like we have a good movie to look forward to this October. Hopefully they will finally release Trick r’ Treat this October as well.

  7. Andrew James says:

Shelagh: really!? Basketball Diaries, Gilbert Grape, Catch me if You Can, Aviator, Romeo & Juliet, Departed…

    ok.

  8. Andrew James says:

Oh, and the trailer looks fun.

  9. Matt Gamble says:

Romeo and Juliet? Christ you have shitty taste in movies.

    • Andrew James says:

      A) Never said R&J was good, just that Leo can act. Not everyone can do Shakespeare.
      B) But yes, I do like Luhrmann’s take on a Shakespeare classic.
      C) My favorite movie of 2007 was Jesse James. What was yours again? Oh yeah. Jesse James. Boom.

  10. Matt Gamble says:

    1) Most shitty over actors can do Shakespeare. Shatner is considered a good Shakespearean actor. So if your argument is that Leo can rise to that level then I don’t think you are helping your argument.

    2) You would. That movie is fucking awful. As are all Luhrmann’s films.

    3) Even a blind squirrel can find the occasional nut.

  11. Andy says:

This movie is going to be fantastic. I can’t think of another Scorsese film that gives off this kind of eerie vibe. Definitely buzz-worthy.

  12. Marina Antunes says:

The trailer looks nice and I like the fact that it’s set in the 30′s but if I didn’t know any better, I’d think this was directed by someone trying for something between “Silent Hill” and “1408″.

    I’m definitely on board.

  13. Jandy says:

Yeah, it doesn’t seem like a Scorsese movie at all. I’m hoping that means it will be AWESOME because he’ll bring his ability to a genre he hasn’t really touched before.

That said, it looks scaaaaary and I’m still a bit wary of scaaaaary movies. *hides*

And for the record, Leo = great actor, Baz Lurhmann = awesome, and Romeo + Juliet = doesn’t suck.

  14. Matt Gamble says:

And for the record, Leo = great actor, Baz Lurhmann = awesome, and Romeo + Juliet = doesn’t suck

Your objection is noted, but shall still be stricken from the record.

  15. Jandy says:

Doesn’t matter, the jury still heard it.
