Have some extra time? I ended up spending a good bit of my “free” time throughout the day poring over Empire Online’s Cryptic Canvas. They commissioned a painting with fifty film titles illustrated all over it. Note that the illustrations don’t have anything to do with the content of the film itself – they generally depict the title itself in some way.
I’ve figured out 35 of the 50, but I’ve been stuck on the other 15 for a few hours now. Anyone want to show me up for the poseur I am?
(Further note: If you are using Firefox and have Adblock Plus enabled, you’ll probably have to disable it on the page. Took me five minutes to figure out why nothing was showing up!)

Just getting to this now…I was like 40 posts behind and just caught up. As an aside, that Bad Lieutenant trailer is gold. Gold!
I’m at 37, but also seem to be stuck. If the screencap above is from your own game, it looks like you may be missing “Scream” and “No Country For Old Men” (as I’m trying to guess which sections are grayed out).
I know I’m missing some obvious ones…
I dunno, Bob, when I added Scream and No Country, I’m at 37 too (yes, that screencap was of my game). I haven’t figured out any more since, so all the others must be less obvious? That’s what I’m telling myself, anyway!
I have 43. The ones I don’t have are the dragon eating the car, the cheerleaders, the shredder woman at the bottom of the screen, the man with the star, the flower in the crow’s mouth, and the two clues on the train.
I have all the others.
Steve, nice job! I have the man with the star and the train, but not the others you mentioned.
I’m also still missing the chart thing on the wall, the two instruments by the wall, the three Cs on the building, the walking family, the mile sign, and the gravestone on the bottom right. And apparently three more I don’t know where are. :/
****SPOILERS****
*****************
the 3 C’s are 300 (roman numerals)
the chart is a matrix
unless you are talkinga bout the cirlcle further to the left wich is zodiac
the grave stone is the last king of scotland
mile sign is the green mile
the star is star dust
the walking family is little children and children of men
the two instruments stand for liar liar
the cheerleaders are attack of the clones
which two are on the train? i know one is trainspotting but what is the other?
I got three before I lost patience. Funny, I normally love those but not this time! Ah, trivia – it’s easy when y’know it
Bam! Got it all.
Some of them were so obvious when you finally figured them out.
