They take between 6 months to a year, which is standard for foreign indie films. Most of the films at Cannes don't have International distribution, and that takes time to broker and set release dates. Bigger names like Haneke or Von Trier get bumped up much sooner, and with Haneke winning they'll move as quickly as they can to capitalize on the win. But in general the films hit in the US in January or February, coinciding with the upcoming Oscar season and the drop off in mainstream film attendance. The only exception was L'enfant, which took almost two years to get a foreign distribution deal.

And 4,3,2 played almost 3 months here douchenozzle. We had it at The Edina for a month and that was after it had a long run at The Lagoon.

The last three all took forever to get here. In fact, was 4,3,2 ever here? If it was it must've been for only about a week.
