• Michael Myers Maskless in Most of Zombie’s Halloween Sequel

In Rob Zombie’s upcoming sequel to the bastardization of a remake that was Halloween (this sequel has a totally hip title by the way: H2! Like the Hummer!), we get word from Shock Till You Drop that is sure to excite classic Halloween fans around the world. You know, what I appreciate about Rob Zombie is that he really understands what made the character of Michael Myers so absolutely frightening to an entire generation in the first place: giving the killer a backstory, throwing his mask away, and having him grow a big, furry mountain-man beard. After all, everyone is afraid of homeless people.

“[W]e will see Michael Myers spend at least seventy-percent of the sequel without the mask. Myers, as played by Tyler Mane, will appear as the disheveled, bearded hulk we’ve seen in leaked set photos. The film is set roughly two years after Zombie’s remake. Between films I’m told Myers has been living in the wild.”

Rob Zombie, you’re a fucking douche.

I think he does understand perfectly the reason Michael Myers was scary to “an entire generation” (pfft): They were teenagers.

henrik, he means the anonymity of Mike Myers, i think. the fact that this kid was killing people without emotion for seemingly no reason whatsoever. we don’t know much about him. we don’t know why. we don’t see his face. that is what made him scary.

this just looks like Zombie is making another Devil’s Rejects sequel. weird looking scruffy guy killing people.

I have to admit, I had respect for Zombie until he remade Halloween. Now it looks like he just has to make things even worse with a sequel…

  4. Zombie’s Halloween films should be burned or at least stripped of the Halloween title. What was Dimension films thinking hiring this guy!
