• Screen Shot Quiz #160

Andrew guessed that yesterday’s quiz was from Appaloosa after guessing a few other movies. I have a feeling many people still haven’t seen Ed Harris’ western from last year. Appaloosa doesn’t have a huge amount to say but it is a lot of fun and really is what a popcorn flick should be, highly entertaining. There were a lot of guesses yesterday so I tried to pick a shot from a movie not from any of the guesses. I haven’t seen this one but I like the shot. If you figure out what it is let me (and everyone else) know if its worth watching.

This week’s theme is Westerns. Here is today’s screen shot. Good luck!

I’ll post the the answer on Wednesday along with the next quiz.

    is this Django?

anyway, Appaloosa was really good. felt like an old time western. not too serious, but serious enough. loved it.

  2. Henrik says:

Appaloosa was like 25 minutes too long, and had a terrible country song over the credits. Some good stuff though, Viggo Mortensen really was a scoop for the movie, held it up. Was disappointed with Irons, and Zellweger was pretty bad, in a character that’s impossible to care for or like.

    I’d give it like a 2/4.

Gatling gun + Franco Nero = Django.

Appaloosa was hella enjoyable. My review.

Django kicks ass too, although not a masterpiece by any stretch.

Yeah it is a lot of fun. I would recommend watching it with the subtitles on as it helps. I can’t comment on a comparison between the two but I really got a kick out of Sukiyaki Western Django… I have to admit that I do prefer The Good, The Bad, and The Weird over SWD though.
