Trailers for DVDs are not something I usually post but when a film is so badly overlooked as this one, it’s well worth the mention.
Kurt was very impressed with Mamoru Oshii’s (Ghost in the Shell, Avalon) The Sky Crawlers (our review), which he had a chance to see at TIFF last year. Sadly his enthusiasm, and that of the few others who had the opportunity to see the film, didn’t translate into theatrical distribution and the film will make its North American debut on DVD on May 26th.
It’s been on my radar since Kurt’s initial review but I had yet to see clips from the film until earlier today when IGN posted a trailer for the DVD release. It doesn’t give us much of the story but it does wet the appetite a little more. In addition to the trailer, I also uncovered a clip from the film which the Twitch folks posted last year (woops, totally missed that the first time around).
