It seems a bit unfair but it’s the most I can do at this point. You see, Bruce McDonald’s outstanding Pontypool doesn’t open in Toronto until Friday and in other Canadian markets for 2 weeks but I’m feeling the need to tease you all with the abundance of material that is popping up online.

Kurt pulled a fast one (I forgive you) and posted the fancy new trailer over at Twitch, and now the folks at Dread Central have gone live with five short film clips from the movie that have somehow ended up on YouTube. Not sure how long these will stay up and frankly, I don’t know if you should see them as they could be potentially spoilerific but if you’re curious, you can check them out over there.

And no, there’s no exaggeration in Kurt’s review; this movie will rock your socks off. Pontypool opens in Toronto on March 6th, and in a number of other Canadian markets (including Vancouver) on March 13. Our American friends can look for it opening in limited release on May 29th. I can’t think of a better way to spend Friday the 13th.
