• “Crossing Over” Poster

While I don’t have much to say on the project at this point, I will say this film has my money. Though Harrison Ford has sucked really huge, hairy balls over the past 10 years, he’s ultimately still my hero. I’ve seen his ENTIRE filmography and I ain’t stopping now.

A while back, Jonathan posted the trailer for Crossing Over and for some reason I get a strong Babel vibe from this; not entirely sure why, but it’s there.

At any rate, I ran across the poster today and while half of it is typical floating head garbage, the other half is mildly interesting looking and certainly attention grabbing. But the fact that it is obviously meant to resemble the American Flag is kind of a neat trick of the eye I think.

Andrew, I had the exact same Babel feeling as well. It must be the lighting or something. I guess we should probably keep Christian Bale away from it.

I’m getting more of a Crash vibe. I know the films are pretty similar, but this one looks like it’s set entirely in LA (or at least the US). And it looks ridiculous, but I’m not going to write it off just yet, solely on the hopes of Jim Sturgess being awesome. Oh and I quite like Ashley Judd too, if only because she’s the only famous Ashley out there who doesn’t put my name to shame.

And I really like this poster, it’s stylish and very clever.

That bottom half is pretty cool. Would have made a great poster by itself. Of course, the floating heads are expected. I guess having Harrison Ford’s mug never hurts anything though.

The more I think about it, the more I like this poster for the American flag reference + “crossing over” theme. I suppose it’s obvious, but it’s also kind of cool looking.

i really like it. it is a nice blend of original, creative poster with the token floating heads. the best of both worlds… pleases us looking at it, but also pleases the studio having the stars’s heads plastered on it.

    cool.
