Tarantino Keeps His Promise
Like clockwork, Quentin Tarantino churns out another great film about every two years. Last year, after screening Death Proof at Cannes, Tarantino promised he’d be back in 2009 with a finished copy of his latest film, Inglorious Basterds.
Variety is reporting that QT is heading into the editing room post haste to cut a copy of the film that will be ready to be shown at The Cannes Film Festival sometime in May (13th – 24th). If that’s the case, we should see the estimated wide release date of August 21st come to light.
I always look forward to the next Tarantino project and Inglorious Basterds is no exception. Also according to Variety, the film will be split into five chapters:
Chapter 1: Once Upon a Time in Nazi Occupied France
Chapter 2: Inglourious Basterds
Chapter 3: German Night in Paris (filmed in “French New Wave Black and White”)
Chapter 4: Operation Kino
Chapter 5: Revenge of the Giant Face
