Hahaha, I understand the appeal to fanboys that the franchise has, but I doubt I’ll get a whole lot out of it myself. I’ll see it someday because I “have to,” but I’m really in no hurry.

Yeah, I enjoy Air Force One. It’s silly, but a hell of a fun movie and Gary Oldman as a villain is always fantastic.

And I would say post-mid-90s Ford. The Fugitive, Clear and Present Danger, and Patriot Games are all great. I’m also a fan of Presumed Innocent and Regarding Henry (not a great film, but a great and out of character performance for Ford).

Admittedly you'll want to steer clear of post 90's Ford (although Air Force One is kind of fun). But anything pre-1990's is gold. Hanover Street and Force Ten from Navarone are solid choices as well. Though go see Raiders of the Lost Ark right now.

Haha, sorry Andrew. No I haven’t seen the Indy movies. I’ll get around to them eventually, I promise. Okay, I sort of enjoyed Witness the first time, but subsequent viewings were just dull. I think I have seen one Jack Ryan movie … was Sean Bean a bad guy in one of those … Patriot Games. Zzzzz. Oh and I also saw What Lies Beneath. Don’t get me started on that one!

Who knows, this morning news show movie could be hilarious. If it’s subtle and finds it’s humour in smart dialogue and small glances, it’ll be golden. But if it’s going to rely on gross-out humour or silly slapstick or dumbed down 90s-romantic-comedy coincidences, I’m not interested. We’ll put this in the “we’ll see” file.

I don’t think we’ll ever lunch together again (at least until this little problem of yours is remedied). All you know of Ford is Hollywood Homicide and Witness? First off, Witness is great and got him nominated for an Oscar.

I assume you’ve seen the Indiana Jones trilogy. If not, WTF? After that, try Working Girl, Regarding Henry, The Fugitive, Jack Ryan movies, Presumed Innocent and Air Force One.

I love Rachel McAdams, and I think she’d be great in the broadcast news world. I always pictured her in the role of a sportscaster I had in a screenplay I was working on awhile back.

But I couldn’t really care less about Ford. The only movies I believe I’ve seen him in are Witness, which bored me to tears, and that bad cop one with Josh Hartnett from several years ago. Hollywood Homocide? Yeah I think that was it. Whenever I think of Ford, that scene where he’s riding a girls pink bicycle comes to mind. Terrifying.

And the pedigree of the writer and director do not encourage me for this film. I bet there will be some kind of romantic subplot involved. Hopefully not between McAdams and Ford. That would be beyond creepy.

As for Harrison Ford, I want him to “do stuff,” but the guy who wrote this project scares me. As much of a guilty pleasure as “Prada” was, it had way to much bullshit thrown in and was kind of messy.

I do like the director though and Harrison Ford is a God, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see; though the plot device seems somewhat contrived.

I seriously doubt a "worst of" list would fit here. Partly because we like to try and stay positive. Second (at least for me personally), if I put together a worst of list, the movies wouldn't really be that bad because I try not to see movies I know (or think) will be bad. I mean, Rambo, 21, Air I Breathe, Postal and Repo! would all make the list, but none of those are completely horrible films. They just weren't very good and/or were disappointing.

Anyways, although my love for Harrison Ford is eternal, I don’t know if I can forgive him for Indy IV either. It’s a deep burn. Like a pulled muscle.
