• C.R.A.Z.Y. Actor Gets Scared

Marc-André GrondinTo most, the name Marc-André Grondin doesn’t mean much but to those who have seen the young Canadian actor in action, we know a little secret. Grondin isn’t only easy on the eyes, he’s an actor with great charisma and magnetism who you can’t look away from when he’s on screen. His big screen debut, 2005’s C.R.A.Z.Y. (which we discussed in an earlier episode of The Movie Club Podcast) propelled the actor into stardom in Québec but Grondin isn’t limiting himself to only local films; he has a couple of French films on the horizon as well as an appearance in Steven Soderbergh’s Guerilla (or Che: Part Two).

Grondin has returned to Québec for his next project, a horror film titled 5150, Rue des Ormes which, according to the folks at Northern Stars, is a bout “a young man who falls into the clutches of demented neighbours”. This is the type of story which I usually overlook but with Grondin attached, I can’t help but hope that the film eventually gets a Canada wide distribution.

And just for fun, I’ve tucked the trailer for C.R.A.Z.Y. under the seat!
